Do you consider yourself to be a writer?  I sometimes wonder about this myself!  I have always enjoyed writing and when I put pen to paper something really happens to me, I don’t know whether you have experienced this for yourself but somehow I seem to escape into another world!  For me, writing is a form of escapism!  At present the kind of writing I indulge in comes in the form of personal journals or a diary if you like!  I have been writing personal journals as far back as I can remember and I can tell you, they have been a tremendous help to me, almost like a very close friend, a wonderful companion!

I’m still on this ongoing journey called life and when there are trials and tribulations I guess I empty my mind and materialise my thoughts!  It’s good to put pen to paper and it’s a good idea when it comes to analysing your thoughts!  Are you kidding me?  This is dangerous!  Some would probably think so!  I can tell you though that by regularly writing in my journal I get to learn about myself, I get a chance to learn about how I think.  Writing is very therapeutic!  When I am writing, this is my time, my space!  I take the phone off the hook, I make myself a brew and I slowly relax into my favourite chair and time can really fly at this point!  I write about my dreams, my goals, my aspirations!  Where am I now?  Where do I want to be so many years from now?  I write about these things as I am constantly plagued by these thoughts and it is a form of release when I write about them.

So, there you go!  This is my first post and I guess I’m really testing the water here!  I love writing and I’m hoping that I can really touch some people out there.  I will write and I will try to give birth to curiosity on your part!  Happy blogging.
